- Look At Us/Peltier AIM Song - From his first release (1983) produced by Jackson Browne. Poetry spoken over traditional drum music from the album 'Tribal Voice'.

- aka Grafitti Man - Original Version - From the 1986 'aka Grafitti Man - JT/JED - Original Version'. This pivotal rock album was co-authored and co-produced with Kiowa guitar legend Jesse Ed Davis. Available only as a self distributed cassette at the time, this record brought John to national attention when Bob Dylan proclaimed it the 'best album of the year.'

- Restless Situations - From the 1987 album 'Heart Jump Bouquet' another collaboration with Jesse Ed Davis.

- But This Isn't El Salvador - From the 1987 album of the same name, this is Native drum music combined with elements of folk and rock guitar.

- Fables And Other Realities - From the 1991 album of the same name featuring Mark Shark, Rick Eckstein and Quiltman.

- Children Of Earth - From the 1992 album 'Children Of Earth - Child's Voice' this unique album features John's young daughters Star and Song reading his poems against a background of hybrid Native folk rock music.

- Shaman Make A Chant - From 'aka Grafitti Man - JT/JED - Original Version'.

- Tina Smiled - From 'Heart Jump Bouquet'.

- Some People Say - From 'Children Of Earth - Child's Voice'.

- The Dream - From 'Fables And Other Realities'.
